Blog ‘Spring Cleaning’ – Day 6
Day 6 – 27 must-read tips & tutorials for bloggers

In today’s lesson, Problogger Darren Rowse asked a few of his blogger friends to share the posts that they believe would be most helpful for those of us looking to improve our blogs. There is a lot of good stuff to read there. My favorites are Chris Brogan’s blog and Skelliewag. I can sit and read those blogs all day… and don’t miss Chris’s recent post – My Love for Blogging.
Another easy-to-read blog for newbies is Blogging Basics 101. I think I went through that one post by post when I first started.
Today’s homework?
- Learn from successful bloggers. Visit a few of the 27 links suggested by Darren at ProBlogger. What did you learn that you can apply to your blog? Which brings us to task #2…
- Apply something that you learned on your blog.
If you’d like to participate, leave a comment so we can visit your blog and see how you’re doing! You can also link up specific blog posts relating to today’s challenge below:

Oh no! I am so behind!! I need to get my butt in gear. This week has been hectic b/c I have two birthdays in one week – three days apart!! I’m hoping I’ll finish this week

It’s not too late to catch up! After all, we’re only like one week into spring, right?
One thing I’ve noticed: the days I get the most traffic (today will be my biggest day EVER) are the days when my blog is linked by many people on FB or Twitter or on a personal blog – especially if those re-posters have TONS of followers! No way I draw this kind of traffic just on my own (sadly). My hope is a few of the people who are first-time visitors might come back. I think I got one new follower today. That’s something, right?

That’s the perfect reason for retweeting your own posts several times! It’s likely that someone else will, too.
This was a GREAT challenge. Wow! I simply hadn’t spent much time on Chris Brogan’s site. I have followed him for a while on Twitter, but never clicked over much. Shame on me! He is such a huge wealth of knowledge and I plan to go back on a regular basis!
I can’t thank you enough for bringing this challenge back to life for me, Mariana!

He is pretty great, isn’t he? I regret not meeting him in person at Disney.
Oh, I thought for some reason that you had met him there! What a treat that would be. Although, I may fumble over my words if I ever met him in real life. And, there is always next year! I hope he is at Disney again…I plan on putting that one on my calendar for sure!!
