No, I didn’t forget my daughter’s special day…
But with all the preparations for our trip, I failed to post photos from Marsy’s 4th birthday celebration.
This year, her birthday fell on the most beautiful Saturday of September. We spent the morning at Cox Farms in Northern Virginia, where a Fall Festival is held yearly that just happened to kick off on Marsy’s birthday.
I reserved a table in the “Party Zone”, a new feature at Cox Farms this year. It was in a nice, shady area, and decorated with balloons, pumpkins, and delicious apples. Bandanas and a few other party favors were included, as well as ice cream for all the kids. It was the easiest (and dare I say - the funnest!) party I’ve thrown for Marsy thus far.
10 of her closest friends were able to attend, although it was hard to stay together due to the size of the farm.
Waiting patiently for the hayride.

“Spooky” ride through an old barn.

There were hay tunnels to go through and climb on.

Slides in all shapes and sizes.
A stationary train was a big hit.

And of course, cake. I chose to make cupcake cones so the kids (and parents) could just grab ‘n go.

After going home and resting a bit, we continued the festivities at Ted’s Montana Grill.

Then back home to open presents!

It was a wonderful day for all of us! I still can’t believe my little princess is already 4!
