Safety 1st ‘Summer Road Trip Safety’ (closed)
A week from tonight I will be updating this blog from the comfort of my hotel room in the Windy City. Yes, it’s almost that time – BlogHer ’09 – and I can’t wait! It’ll be my first time visiting Chicago. I don’t have any official sponsors for the conference, but there are several companies that are helping make my trip a little bit easier. One being:
They’ve generously provided me with two of their new Complete Air car seats for my daughters to be safe on the road and in the air this summer. Side impact crashes are by far the most harmful type of collision for children; and Safety 1st has developed Air Protect, a groundbreaking new car seat technology to help protect against this terrifying threat. I’ll have a detailed review of the car seat coming up later this month, but you can learn more about Air Protect by visiting www.safety1st.com/airprotect.
As we’re in the midst of summer travel season, Safety 1st is offering a “Summer Road Trip Safety” basket to one lucky reader! Summer travel is fun and exciting, but it is important to first ensure the safety of your little ones in the back seat before you are able to sit back and relax. The basket includes items from Safety 1st’s ProGrade line, all of which are crash tested by the Safety 1st team of certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. ProGrade items include the See Baby Soft Mirror (for the backseat headrest), the Secure View Mirror (for the rear view mirror), the Soft Solution Roller Shade, the famous “Baby on Board” window sign, and a $25 gas gift card to fill your tank! To enter, please leave a comment below telling me what your summer travel plans are.
Also, for those of you attending BlogHer in Chicago, be sure to stop by the Safety 1st booth to learn about the latest development in child safety – the Complete Air car seat, mentioned above – the first car seat available with Air Protect technology! Safety 1st will be giving one away, so make sure you stop by and enter to win!

We don’t really have big travel plans for this summer. We’re going to go and see a concert a couple of hours away later on in the summer but other than that we’re staying pretty close to home.
We won’t be traveling to far from home these days with the economy being so bad. But will go to concerts in the park, beach, etc.
