SmartKnitKIDS Seamless Socks (closed)
I have to admit I’ve never put much thought into socks. My girls wear them if they have to, but usually remove them along with their shoes as soon as we walk in the door. I never considered that this might be because they’re not comfortable… until we were given the opportunity to sample SmartKnitKIDS socks!
A little background about these socks:
Tired of hearing her son scream “these sock seams keep bugging me,” a mom decided something needed to be done… but there wasn’t a truly seamless sock available. After explaining the frustrating morning routine to countless friends of her son’s struggles with socks, she was finally given the name of Knit-Rite, a textile manufacturer, and contacted them with her request for a seamless kids sock. After several requests for seamless socks from “desperate” parents, SmartKnitKIDS socks were created. Knit the same way a caterpillar spins its cocoon, SmartKnitKIDS socks are started at the toe and worked up toward the ankle. This process insures a 100% seamless sock, so there are no seams to bug ya!
What my girls like most about SmartKnitKIDS socks is that they can put them on all by themselves. My independent toddler especially loves ‘em! The socks fit securely around her fat little legs, but not so tight that they leave a mark or are uncomfortable. There’s no ‘wrong’ way to put them on, as there’s no heel. This will also keep them from outgrowing their socks so fast! And because these socks “hug” their feet, they can slip into their shoes easily, as if they were wearing tights.
SmartKnitKIDS socks are made from stretchy Corespun and Lycra yarns, high-tech fibers that wick moisture away, which is supposed to help ensure a drier and more hygienic sock. I had to see – er, smell – the antimicrobial benefits for myself to really believe that these socks help prevent stinky feet. And they really seem to work! My toddler usually has very sweaty, smelly feet, and after wearing these socks all day, I can barely sense any odor!
A truly seam free sock is great for kids with Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, or for those who simply cannot stand annoying sock seams. It’s also a great option for infants, as the form-fitting design keeps the socks secure on little feet, no matter how much they wiggle. For more information, please visit www.smartknitkids.com.
