Take Care Clinics, located in select Walgreens across the country, are walk-in, professional clinics that provide healthcare services for patients 18 months and older. Staffed with board-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants, you can get treatment for everything from minor cuts and scrapes to adult vaccinations, and also receive complete health evaluations.
The great thing about these Take Care Clinics is that the treatment is affordable. If you have insurance, you just make a one-time copayment on the day you visit. If you don’t have insurance, cash payments average just $59-$80. As someone who didn’t have health insurance for a while, I know just how expensive, not to mention stressful, a simple doctor’s visit can be.
School just let out here last week, and I know many parents are getting ready to send their kids off to camp. Walgreen’s does Diagnostic Testing, which is great. Mine is not too far away and open 24 hours!

The take care clinic offers vaccinations but they’re around 100-200 dollars! I would still possibly use this for other more serious conditions, thanks for posting about this cause I never knew it existed!
Thanks for the giveaway…We visited a Take Care Clinic at a Walgreens last year during our vacation when one of the kids got a nasty earache; I was pleasantly surprised at the experience – not a long wait, and it was on a Sunday morning- more so that they accepted our insurance.
I like that the Take Care clinics have been trying to help people who have lost their jobs — that’s very nice!
It looks like a great program, especially for the more routine types of things that a doctor’s office would charge a lot more for.

I like this idea because it’s quick. Waiting at the Dr’s office can take a while
These are great – I wish there were more of them, as it would go a LONG WAY towards unclogging our overworked, over-used ER’s (especially since so many of those visits are for”non-emergent” issues!!!

The clinic looks useful, good to know about
I like the free healthcare visits for our past, present, and future patients*, and their families, who lose their jobs and are uninsured.
Another healthcare option is a good thing.
Wow, I had no idea Walgreens was doing that.
We have one less than 5 minutes from my house, I really hope that we get one soon.
Finally an option for those of us that do not have healthcare coverage.

This is a really great program! It gives someone that has lost their job, one less thing to worry about.
I am lucky to not need such a service but for those that do, this is great!
That is very cool. It sounds like a very convenient option.
This is a great program especially the camp physicals but unfortunately I learned that the Walgreens in my neck of the woods are not currently participating in this program.
